Product Details

The SLAP MAT® is made of pure 100% first-grade silicone and will not be harmed by printer resins, most chemicals, or most glues! Stop working with resin on cardboard and paper towels, throwing away a toxic gooey mess after every clean-up or resin transfer. Use to protect your work surface, spill and splash all you like and when you are done, take it outside. The resin will harden, and with a simple flex, it pops right off to be safely and easily disposed of. Use under each of your printers as a catch-all.

SLAP MAT® is also great as a general craft mat, protecting your work surface from gluing, body putty, or painting even resisting melted solder and the tip of most soldering irons for up to 3 minutes, so use them under electronics.

Well I never…...

I have seen these for ages and thought they were just a gimmick. I have been Resin Printing for about 2 years and had managed to survive without the need for a Slap Mat all that time so I really had zero interest in them.

I then invested in a new larger format Resin Printer and as I looked at it, I realised that due to the size of the build plate, having somewhere to plop it down after removing from the printer would be ideal. I had pulled out all the stops to get the Printer so why not invest in a Slap Mat or two to go with it and do things a bit smarter. So I did.

I got 2 x Slap Mats, the smaller one now sits in front of my old Resin machine, while the large one has pride of place in front of the new Saturn 4 Ultra. It looks perfectly at home there and does a great job.

I have one regret and that is, I should have got these years ago, they are excellent and from now on, I will have a Slap Mat on my shopping list when buying another printer, just like I have Flex Build Plates on that list already. Oh and Yes, the S4U can use Flex Plates, just ask Wham Bam, that is where mine came from.

Great Product

Nothing about Resin printing clean up is fun. However with these mats (I got small and large) it makes it much more pleasant.
